20140909-220412.jpgI am grateful for a beautiful reminder from Oprah’s book, What I Know For Sure.

I first saw the Lifeclass with John Diaz’s recount of what he saw when he survived a horrific plane crash, about a year ago. It was profound.

Please watch the video and ask yourself… “How bright is your life?”

I really fell in love with this image and message, when I came upon it in Instagram. It really resonated with me. If we can see past the body, and see into each other’s soul, we can see how truly connected we are to each other. And maybe… this will bring more understanding and compassion with each other, because we are the same… we come from love.

20140713-224633.jpgOn the current windy road that is my spiritual path at the moment, I want to take this moment to give thanks to Spirit, The Divine, God, Higher Power, The Mystery, God/Goddess (however you call The One) and his many helpers: The Guides, The Angels, The Archangels, etc.

The lessons I am learning right now–which occupies a great chunk of my present life, has been tremendous and tumulus, but I am strong and keeping strong because of Him and His Helpers.

Thank you.

20140619-222232.jpgI love this book. I haven’t even read it fully or even in order, but I often open it for advice, like bibliomancy. (You ask a question, open the book randomly, read what it says, and see how it pertains to or help your situation.)

This book by Sonia Choquette is full of great advice about self-love and how to get in touch with your wonderful Spirit within. I am grateful to have it, as it is my go to book, when I need advice.

heartWhat makes your heart happy?

What makes your Spirit sing?

It is very easy to lose perspective sometimes, especially when we have so many things we have to do each day.  Sometimes, we get bogged down with our responsibilities at work, home, school… that we forget the most simplest, yet most rewarding things out there.  You know… The stuff that makes our hearts happy… The stuff that makes our Spirit sing!

It could be a new flower you’ve never seen before at the Farmer’s Market.  An old favorite book that begs to be read again.  Maybe it’s a song that brings to mind a beautiful memory from 10 years ago or one you love singing at the top of your lungs (in the shower or in your car).  Whatever it could be, take a moment to enjoy it now, today!  If you can, enjoy a lot today. 😀

I am grateful for music because I enjoy singing.  Singing is probably the fastest and easiest way to lift myself up.

I am grateful for writing! It is my therapy when I need to unload.  It is the doorway to my imagination when I write stories.  Sometimes I would write for hours, forgoing food and water, just so I can get everything the Muse inspired out on paper (or laptop).

I am grateful for food!  Someone told me once, “your eyes light up when you’re talking about food.”  It is so rewarding to try different dishes from different cultures.  It is one of the ways we can learn and understand someone else’s culture and country.  It is also an absolute joy for me to cook for my loved ones.

I am grateful for dancing! Sometimes, you just need to drop everything and just let go to the beat of the music.

I am grateful for books!  I learn so much from reading.  Some books can just take you away to a faraway land.

I am grateful for children!  Isn’t it infectious when children laugh?  I love hanging out with my nieces and nephews.  It lets the inner child out!  Children enjoy what they are doing at the  present moment and they trust in the flow of life without qualms. There are so many things we can learn from children.

What are some of the things that you can do today to bring warmth into your heart? What will make your Spirit shine even more brightly, right now?

I am grateful to waking up to Katy Perry’s song, “Unconditionally”.

I have been working on the concept of unconditional love for a long time now. Sometimes, maybe as an Aquarian, I think that I could feel this in a universal sense–a lot more than one-to-one.

It came as a surprise to feel this for someone I felt a strong connection with several months ago, but I didn’t really know him much. I had spoken to one of my good friends about it, and she said, “Isn’t this what you feel for us?”

I guess my surprise was in feeling unconditional love for someone because of a strong connection, not because of years of knowing them inside and out.

This song reminded me of how lovely it was that I could feel this way about someone. To me, it means that I have changed and grown. It means that I have learned to see the good in someone, their Spirit or Soul (if you will), and love someone beyond their façade or ego. It means that my capacity to love has gotten even bigger.

I hope one day, a great love will find me, and he would be able to do the same with me.

Here is the chorus of the song, courtesy of Metro Lyrics:
Unconditional, unconditionally
I will love you unconditionally
There is no fear now
Let go and just be free
I will love you unconditionally
