20141011-183328.jpgI am grateful that we (my brother, sister, and I) had a chance to celebrate dinner with Mom for her birthday. We shared this bountiful dinner. The prime rib was a huge slab. LOL!

20140901-195607.jpgI am grateful for Mom’s help. I had a very harsh allergic reaction from mosquito and flea bites I received when I was in New York.

My acupuncturist removed the toxins earlier this week from the numerous bites I received, but the burned herbs left me with over a dozen blisters, on both legs and back of a hand.

My mom, a nurse, helped me by bringing me several burn dressings and ointments, and with some of the treatment. I feel so much more comfortable now.

20140719-175835.jpgI am very independent. I’d rather not ask anyone for help, unless there is no other way (and I have exhausted all my options).

So when I got a herniated disc… (which I think may have been from a mixture of an accident as a kid, two falls when I was 17, a broken knee, and martial arts which put a toll on my body over the years), it was really tough for me.

Almost a year later, I am still doing acupuncture and acupressure once a week, out of pocket. It has since taken its toll on my finances.

Without asking, my parents gave me some money last month for my acupuncture/acupressure. For a long time, I struggled with actually accepting the money. I still feel bad about it, because I am so used to doing things on my own.

I am grateful to Mom and Dad… For helping their super independent first born.

20140502-195507.jpgMom had a craving, and bought us dinner! Thanks, Mom!

I am grateful for the food that Mom had dropped off to me so I wouldn’t have to worry about what to eat while sick. 🙂

I am grateful for this couch.

A couch, you ask?

Why, yes. 😉

It is my mom’s living room couch. It is very comfy and puffy, and while my body apparently does not know how to nap, at least I was able to have a lie down, for a bit. Sometimes even a bit of rest can be rejuvenating!
