Today’s message from Osho is about being able to live life fully and be spiritual too.

You can have it all… To live life fully and be spiritual too.

As you may have read before, I believe in reincarnation. I am grateful for this life and the opportunity to experience as many things as possible.

I have a chance to try different foods from different cultures. I have a chance to explore different places and get to learn different languages and cultures. I have a chance to be a better person as work through karma, and experience more grace and dharma. I have a chance to explore who I really am–especially my spirituality, and celebrate the masterpiece that is me.

Life is so short, enjoy it. Live the masterpiece that is you!

Excerpt from the course
“Zorba the Buddha”, is Osho’s vision of a new man who is whole, not split between materialism and spirituality – a person able to celebrate every aspect of life. Zorba the Greek, as portrayed in an old movie, is a man who embraces the pleasures of the body through all his senses. He enjoys life to the fullest. Zorba is playfulness. The other dimension of the new man is represented by ‘Buddha’, the embodiment of the spiritual, the silence and awareness that lie beyond the material world, or hidden in its deepest depths. For Osho, these two are complementary, not divisive. His vision is the synthesis of Zorba and Buddha.

Zorba is the foundation and Buddha is the palace. Buddha is the peak, but the foundation stones are laid by Zorba. It will be foolish to choose to be a Buddha without having the foundation stones. The Buddha is asleep in the Zorba. It has to be awakened. And nobody can awaken you except life itself. First become a Zorba, a flower of this earth, and earn the capacity through it to become a Buddha – the flower of the other world.”

Today’s message from Osho is about Spiritual maturity.

Excerpt from the course
Every child has to lose his innocence and regain it. Losing is only half of the process. Many have lost it, but very few have regained it. Maturity is a rebirth, a spiritual birth. You are born anew, you are a child again. With fresh eyes you start looking at existence. Maturity is coming. You are gaining your innocence again. Maturity is living in the present, fully alert and aware of all the beauty and the splendor of existence.”

When I was in Lily Dale, someone told me that I had a “purity about me,” and when I gave her a questioning look, she expounded that I had “an innocence surrounding me.” And it wasn’t because the minute I had my first break, I played in the swing set near the building I was studying at! HaHa!

To be honest, I didn’t realize how much my Inner Child wanted out! I was like a kid in a candy store in Lily Dale… Learning, discovering, trying to take pictures of black squirrels because I have never seen them before, or just plain exploring the woods as if I was entering another realm and wondering if I went further and further if I might see a Bigfoot! 😁

Osho’s message about “maturity” is not about growing older or becoming staid. It’s about recapturing our innocence and child-like awe and wonder–the kind that we were born with, before all the conditioning.

If you look at a baby, it is very hard not to smile when the baby does, right? They are still so very connected to God, Goddess, Spirit, Higher Power–whatever you call it. They are still attuned to love. All they know is giving love and receiving love. They are pure love.

Spiritual maturity is all about reclaiming that pure love innocence–and to have love as the primary force in which we think, act, speak, and live.

“How do I get that pure love innocence back?” Well, I’m glad you asked! 😁 LOL

This is how I have been doing it, and maybe you will find what will work for you by reading mine.

I have been going through a rebirth, brought on by my Spiritual path. I have worked very hard, and continue to work hard… on myself.

For over a year, I worked on meditation until I was able to put aside time daily, really looked at myself in the mirror, forgave myself, loved myself, and healed myself, because I want to be a better person, the inspired person, the Spiritual person. To me, this is a work in progress, because I want to improve each day.

With this “maturity” to regain our “innocence,” comes self-responsibility too. It means you own your stuff–what you do, say, think, etc. It means taking responsibility when you do or say something wrong.

In the course of the work on myself, I wrote out forgiveness letters to those who hurt me, but I also asked for forgiveness from those I hurt in the past. (If you are unable to ask for forgiveness in person, you can imagine them in front of you and say how and why you are sorry. You could also write a sincere forgiveness letter and burn to release it. Not only will you heal, you will heal the relationship with the other person, and you will change your perception.

Once you start doing this, start doing stuff you love. Let your Inner Child out to play. Get on a swing set, if you want to. Dance your heart out–in public or in private, or under the rain. Sing your favorite songs (even if you can’t carry a tune)–sing for yourself!

It’s playtime, Baby. Let your love take the lead and finally enjoy your life.

Today’s message from Osho is about living in joy.

Osho said that you can’t have happiness without unhappiness too. There is always the balance. One cannot exist without the other.

So instead, he advises to cultivate joy–which could only be attained from within, as it is a spiritual dimension.

Being in Lily Dale, with the woods, the lake, and a beach all around it, you can’t help being one with nature. With the meditations and training, I have been able to go even deeper in meditation, which resulted in even more joy in my life and the most peace I have ever known with myself. So much so, I don’t want to leave. 😁

Where else but a spiritual place could you find so much, and keep you fully connected most, if not, all the time. So I now understand this course about what it means to be full of joy.

Being joyful is accepting yourself, loving yourself, and loving and living your authenticity. When you are at peace with yourself, you will attain more joy.

To get there, you have to do some work–but the hard part really is the allowing. That you allow yourself to… love yourself. Then meditation will bring you even closer to your most beautiful Spirit, aka your Higher Self or your Inner Guide–which will bring you inner peace.

Today’s message from Osho is about sex and love.

I have been learning a lot about love and compassion through my personal and Spiritual path, and I have changed a whole lot, especially in the last year. However, as a presently unattached, single woman, I would have to wait to use what I have learned. 😁

Instead, I will write what I hope to do and how I hope to act, hopefully most of the time, if not all the time, when I am in a situation where love and sex coincide, while honoring my Spirit and my Spiritual path.

I believe in honoring, respecting, and accepting the other person, for who he truly is, because that is how I would like to be treated. To honor, respect, and accept the other person is to honor their Spirit.

I hope to love him unconditionally with gratefulness and compassion. We all have fears and pain we carry and/or we are still working through, and love and compassion will promote healing and more openness to share love. Gratefulness will lead to appreciation for the other person and what he shares with me and to the relationship.

I’m human too, 😁, so I hope the physical aspect will be a complete experience of passion, sharing, playfulness, and hopefully, love.

Excerpt from the course
Man has three layers: the body, the mind and the soul. So whatsoever you do, you can do in three ways. Either it can be just from the body, or it can be from the mind, or it can be from the soul. Whatsoever you do, any act of yours, can have three qualities. Sex is love through the body; romantic love is sex through the mind; compassion is through the soul. But the energy is the same. Moving in a deeper way, its quality changes, but the energy is the same. Sexuality is possible without any understanding, without any meditation.

Love is possible only with understanding. Compassion is possible only with understanding and meditation, understanding and awareness. Not only do you understand and respect the other person, but you have come to your deepest core of being. Seeing your own deepest core, you have become capable of seeing the deepest core in the other also. Now the other does not exist as a body or a mind; the other exists as a soul. And souls are not separate. Your soul and my soul are one..”

Today’s message from Osho is about accepting all that is the Self.

We comprise of good and bad, dark and light, and beauty and ugly. In order to be whole, we must accept all of us. The minute we reject a part of ourselves, we judge ourselves, and this keeps us from being kind, loving, and compassionate toward ourselves… and others.

Everything starts with our own selves. If we cannot accept ourselves fully, we won’t be able to accept another. If we cannot love ourselves for all that we are, we won’t be able to love someone that way also.

Acceptance is letting go and allowing. It is allowing our authentic self to shine. So let’s shine on and be our beautiful, authentic selves. Let’s make our own unique mark in this world.

Excerpt from the course
The moment you judge a part of yourself, you are dividing yourself into two. You are a whole. All these tricks you have learned about division have to be dropped. You have learned to divide yourself into the godly part and the devilish part, the good and the bad, the high and the low. Drop all divisions. That’s what acceptance means. Acceptance means there is no question of condemnation and whatever is the case, you accept it. Suddenly, there comes a transformation in your being.”

Thought for the day: As I release any tension in my body, my mind follows

Today’s message from Osho is about giving up control and letting go.

Giving up control (and allowing for the natural unfolding of things) and letting go are difficult! I know, I am still working on them! 😁

According to Osho, not feeling in control and not living in the present moment causes all the tension (i.e. from constant battle to feel safe and secure, from frantic preparation for the future, from stressing yourself out, etc.) in your body and in your life.

The only way to deal with tension and stress is to relax. To relax is to slow down. To slow down is to live in the present moment. To live in the present is to trust… Trusting that everything will unfold the way they are supposed to for the highest good of all.

I think today’s meditation is a message I needed to hear today. I needed this beautiful reminder.

Relax. Let go. Live in the present moment. Trust.

Excerpt from the course
Relax the circumference of your being – relax your body, relax your behavior, relax your acts. Walk in a relaxed way, eat in a relaxed way, talk, listen in a relaxed way. Slow down every process. Don’t be in a hurry and don’t be in haste. Move as if all eternity is available to you.”

Thought for the day: I take time to listen carefully to everyone and everything

Today’s message from Osho is how to listen.

There is a lot of noise pollution out there, and Osho believes that it is important for us to not just hear, but to really listen.

I used to get frustrated at my mom when I would tell her something and she would half-listen to me. One day, when I was a teenager, to check if she was listening, I told her… “Mom, I’m gonna take drugs, okay?” And she said, “Okay.” I, of course, had to let know what she agreed to. LOL

I think sometimes it can get really hard to truly “listen.” In my line of work, I have to muti-task. I have on numerous occasions had a phone in each ear, with two different conversations while typing away on the computer. So I feel that I have been conditioned to not listen as well as I should. That I, too, have become guilty of half-listening. How sad!

I think the only time I truly can listen is in meditation. I will try to be better at listening, and see what I truly hear.

Excerpt from the course
Whether listening to (this message), or listening to a flute player, or listening to the birds in the morning, or sitting by the side of the waterfall and listening to it, the same experience can happen. It happens not from what you listen to, it happens because you listen. Just listening gives you total silence; in deep listening you disappear. The whole art is how to listen.”

Thought for the day: Today I become a witness, and judge nothing that occurs

Today’s message from Osho is to learn how to stop judging others.

Excerpt from the course
Your judgment shows something about you, nothing about the person you have judged, because his history remains unavailable to you, his being remains unavailable to you. All contexts are lost, there is just a momentary flash – and your interpretation will be your interpretation. It will show something about you. Seeing this, judging disappears.”

I started with the course excerpt because I find it to be true. I am, I believe, less judgmental now–and that’s because whenever I find myself judging, I immediately ask myself, “Why are you doing this? What is the problem in you?”

Louise Hay has a morning and evening affirmation app from Apple. I listen to them for a few consecutive days when I need them. Sometimes I use it while falling asleep for positive conditioning. There is an affirmation that stood out when I first started to use it and came to mind to share. The affirmation is called “Other People are Mirrors of Us.”

It goes like this:
Each person in our life is a mirror of where we are in consciousness. Some people mirror the joyous, loving side of us, and some people mirror the patterns that on a very deep level we want to change… Then we usually get angry and blame them for being wrong.

Try to be aware that the people that irritate us the most have come into our lives to teach us what we need to learn about ourselves.

In this very relaxed state, allow your mind to go over the various people in your world that annoy you. Think of what it is about them that bothers you the most, and now honestly look into your own life and see where you do the same thing.

Now if you are willing to release that pattern from within yourself, then you will find, much to your surprise, that you have healed the relationship.

When you change your own thinking, you will change, and you will find that other people also change”.

One of the ways I practice non-judgment is by giving money to those I pass by on the streets or sidewalks who ask for it. I do it with a mindset of simply hoping it might ease their lives. I try not to think about how they will use it. Instead, as soon as I let go of the money, it is no longer mine, and they can do what they wish with it. Sometimes, I do add a prayer with the money, to help out more.

Sometimes, I do not even know what to do about myself… 😁 Far be it for me, to judge others on how they live. Better worry about myself first. HaHa

Thought for the day: I have the power to create new, positive beliefs about myself

Daily Quote:
Society cannot tolerate individuality, because individuality will not follow like a sheep. The sheep are always in the crowd because it feels more protected, secure. Today’s message from Osho is to allow and not be afraid to be yourself.

Per Osho, past conditions began as soon as we were born. We learn from our parents, school, society, and others who we are, how we should behave, etc.

It is now time to release old, past conditioning that no longer serves you–and embrace the true you and to love yourself for who you truly are–a beautiful, spiritual being having a human experience, with your strengths and your weaknesses, your good and your bad, and your beauty and your ugly… You beautiful, work in progress You.

I wrote before about how I was in an abusive relationship in the past, when I was in my twenties. Looking back, I can’t even fathom how I ended up in that kind of painful relationship.

I have always been an Independent Sunshine with a great knowing of who I was… until boys in high school.

It is in relating with others that we learn, and change (for good or bad). Somehow, I found myself questioning who I was when I was “relating.” That was when the gaps started to appear, and how I ended up in a relationship that wasn’t good for me.

The most painful abuse this man gave to me was the constant belittling. He went from charming, supportive man to the worse kind–the kind who needed to exert power and control over someone else because he couldn’t control himself or how his life was unfolding.

It took me a very long time to release the past, and to take back my power once more.

The only way I could release his hold on me was to learn to release the past, let go of the pain I incurred, and to learn to forgive.

Part of our journey in this life to wellness and wellbeing–and to live life fully–is to release old conditioning and to release the past… To forgive the past. It’s the only way, you will be able to move on with a clearer heart. It is the only way to move on with a heart that’s open to all the great possibilities that’s waiting to be given to you, once you are ready to accept and receive them.

Fly free and untethered.

Excerpt from the course
Once you start dropping (past) conditions, you will become aware of your wings. And those wings can take you to the ultimate reality: the flight of the alone to the alone. But there you can go only as an innocent being – unconditioned, utterly dis-identified from the past. Meditation is the way to release conditioning from the past.”

Thought for the day: I pay more attention to my intuition and follow its advice

Today’s message from Osho is about intuition.

Intuition comes from within. It is our inner guidance. We sometimes feel it in our gut, when something feels off or or as a hunch. We often feel this in our “Hara” (Japanese) or “Tan T’ien” (Chinese) which is the contact center of our body and soul (aka Chi) located about two inches below our navel.

Have you ever done something and regretted it, and realized that prior to your action, you received an inner knowing not to do it, but you ignored it anyway?

When you don’t follow your hunch or your gut feeling, what happens?

For me, I learn tougher lessons when I don’t follow my intuition! HaHa

But it’s hard to discern sometimes, right? Lucky for us, today’s course is followed by a meditation process that will help strengthen the Hara to help us find balance in our lives and also strengthen our inner guidance–our intuition.
