I am grateful to Liz of Liz Who Motivates for nominating me for the “One Lovely Blog” award. The nomination post can be found here.

I unfortunately dropped out of the blogging scene for several months, and I wasn’t able to complete the acceptance until now.  So I am giving this nomination the delayed, but respected, due it deserves.  I am using the format from Liz’s nomination, as well as the modification.

The “One Lovely Blog” award is designed for:

1. Those new or up-and-coming-bloggers acknowledging their blogging efforts so as to increase their blog readership

2. Are chosen by their fellow blogging comrades for having a “lovely” blog as they share their stories and thoughts in a poetic or beautiful manner as they connect with their loyal audience of readers and followers.

In order to “accept’ the award one must follow the below guidelines (which have been modified):

1. Acknowledge the person who nominated you

2. Post the One Lovely Blog logo to your post and/or blog

3. List 7 interesting facts or things about yourself

4. Nominate 5 (modified from 15) lovely blogs you admire by informing them of their award nomination on their blog

Thank you,  Liz (Liz Who Motivates), for nominating me. I’m sorry this took so long to complete, but I appreciate your nomination and for all that you do in motivating others!

My 7 facts/things:

1. Before I die, I would like to fully able to converse in at least 7 languages. Currently, I am learning Korean. I can speak English, French, Japanese, and Tagalog. I learned Mandarin and Fukien when I was a small child, but I also stopped at a young age. I hope to relearn them, along with Cantonese. Next is Spanish.  I also want to learn Latin (with the mindset that if I can learn this root language, I will be able to understand the other romance languages… maybe…)

2. I prefer the smell of coffee to actually drinking it. I drink it black.

3. I am an energetic healer. (The way I heal others is similar to, but not the same as, Reiki)

4. I was pretty photogenic when I was younger, but I prefer to take the pictures than to be in it.

5. I can recreate dishes by taste. As long as I know the taste of a component, I am able to distinguish it.

6. I inherited my soprano singing voice from my maternal grandmother. Although I do not sing professionally, it is an honor to sing the songs she had loved. The last song I sang for her was “Ave Maria” at her funeral.

7. I have a distinct view of marriage, and that may be why I remain single. In these days of divorce, I do not want to marry unless I have found the perfect marriage partner. My idea of the perfect marriage partner is someone who wants the “real thing” and will continue to invest in love and the marriage until “death do us part.”

My 5 nominees:

Bonne Vivante Life –

Obzervashunal –

Ruth Williams –

The Law of Attraction and Your Momentum –

20141030-220912.jpgAs I grow spiritually, the more I become grateful for simple, but priceless moments.

The picture I took barely show its full beauty, but I had the privilege of watching the sunset for hours when I left New York for California. I normally book aisle seats, but on my return, I opted for a window seat, and I was given this beautiful, amazing gift.

As it grew darker, I was shown a rainbow skyscape from red at the horizon to purple at its zenith.

I would never have seen such beauty had I not booked a window seat. Clearly, the Big G wanted me to see this. 😁

I am grateful to have learned about how meditation works on our physiology and the seven states of meditation.

It takes only 1% percent of our 24 hours, which comes to 14.4 minutes, to bring growth and positive changes into our lives. Wow!

Check out my meditation view!

I ended up sleeping in due to watching movies rather than sleeping on my flight and from playing in the rain… I love the rain…

So I ended up eating a local favorite for lunch! Fish Fry! Look at the size of the fish!

I also had Birch Beer, because I have never had it before. The server had given me a taste of it before I committed to it. It is a stronger flavored root beer.

20141017-121406.jpgBesides a long delay at the airport due to the weather, I was grateful for the easy red-eye flight which I spent watching movies rather than sleeping. 😁 The most coolest part was that I was able to do an act of kindness on the plane.

I was grateful to easily acclimate to the mid-size automatic rental car (I’ve only have had small, manual 2-door sports cars) with some cool gadgetry, and my drive was relatively easy–eventhough sometimes the car felt so big!

I’ve also managed to figure out my way around so I know where all the cool places to eat now. 😉

Even at a small Asian Cafe that serves Artisanal Mexican Cola with their dishes.

(For 10/16/14)

I am grateful that I have a confidante at work whom I can talk to. Sometimes you just need someone who can just listen and understand.

20141014-202929.jpgI came upon two books by Pam Grout at the library–The 100 Best Vacations To Enrich Your Life and The 100 Best Volunteer Vacations To Enrich Your Life.

I have always been fascinated by volunteer vacations so to find a compilation is a pretty cool thing to understand what’s out there that maybe I can do.

Today marks day 365 of my 365 days of gratitude project. Besides completing a bucket list item, I can honestly say that this gratitude project has changed my life, for the better…

Knowing how much gratitude has gifted me with a different perception about myself, others, and the world around me, how can I stop? 😁

So to another 365 days of gratitude! 💕

20141012-091830.jpgHow did I miss it! My blog turned a year old, and I missed it. LOL! Busy-ness, Life, et al… Ah, the trappings of life!

I am grateful I found this notification as a reminder of how much I do love my blog–eventhough I haven’t spent as much time on it lately–save for my gratitude journal which is reaching a year! Wow!

I also miss visiting your blogs and reading your posts, too. I was glad I had some moments to visit some blogs this morning. Soon though, I will have more time to do so. I can’t wait to visit yours and read your latest thoughts, poems, and stories!

20141011-183328.jpgI am grateful that we (my brother, sister, and I) had a chance to celebrate dinner with Mom for her birthday. We shared this bountiful dinner. The prime rib was a huge slab. LOL!
