Thought for the day: I am willing to be a witness to my mind, without judgment

Daily Quote:
This is the only distinction between the dream and the real: reality allows you to doubt, and the dream does not allow you to doubt….

To me, the capacity to doubt is one of the greatest blessings to humanity.” ~Osho

Today’s message from Osho is about how to be a witness to your mind.

Many Spiritual Teachers and Mentors advice that it is important to be the master of your thoughts. It’s not an easy thing to do! Even when you know that you attract what you think…

However, I have found that meditation and a focus to turn my thoughts around do help, when my mind is on a roll. Also, I try not to beat myself up these days. All is well, and I can always change my thoughts as soon as I catch myself.

Osho advises to not worry too much about your thoughts. It’s natural. Instead stop what you are doing and focus on quieting the mind. You will find gaps and openings in which you can distance yourself from thoughts. Then focus on the present. The sudden change will give you a chance to regroup… from here you can quiet the mind.

Or… You can change the thoughts to better, peaceful, or loving ones. 😊

The course is followed by techniques to help with watching the mind.

From the course:
Mind exists with your cooperation or your conflict…When you fight with the mind, you are giving energy to it…So whether you cooperate or you conflict, in both the cases the mind becomes stronger and stronger. Just watch. Just be a witness. And, by and by, you will see gaps arising.”
