20140417-072453.jpgI am grateful for and love day 4 of Oprah and Deepak Chopra’s Finding Your Flow Meditation Experience. It is on “finding love.”

It has been a profound journey to cultivating self love and self compassion thus far. For me, for a long time, it was easier to love and be compassionate towards others, and I had to learn that it was not only okay to have love and compassion for myself, but it was important and necessary.

I was happy to get the e-mail noting today’s meditation is on love. Each day, I say a mantra of “choose love, not fear.” To choose love as the primary force and energy to go about my day… To choose to see love in others, in my situation, in my life, and in myself–instead of allowing fear and other negativity to get in the way of my having a happy and joyful life.

Today’s centering thought is “my love and compassion are within.”

Today’s Sanskrit mantra is Vam, which means “I am love.”
